“We go from being our father’s daughters to our husband’s wives to our babies’ mothers.” A beautiful powerful clip from the movie Hidden Figures. Each role we have, takes on a powerful meaning. As women, we are looked upon as gentle tender creatures. However, some of us have become enslaved and shackled to our roles. We tend to fulfill everybody else’s needs instead of ours. We tend to sacrifice our peace of mind in order to make others satisfied. At times, we even go as far and tell ourselves that our needs do not matter. That is not our purpose. We were not put on this Earth to serve others. We were put here for a purpose that is embedded deep in our souls. One where we need a peace of mind in order to discover that purpose. Once that purpose has been discovered, we will be able to release those shackles that have once bounded us.
